SAP ERP Business Analyst (Finance)



 


A client of ours in Baltimore, MD is seeking an for a direct hire opportunity. 



A client of ours is seeking a flexible, forward-thinking, open-minded, customer oriented, committed team player to serve as an ERP Business Analyst (Finance). The ERP Business Analyst is a key participant responsible for the day-to-day activities, tasks, and project resources assigned to the support of SAP modules supporting Finance/Sponsored Projects, and supporting master data elements, as well as interfaces with external systems.


The position is responsible for the technical maintenance of the application, including system configuration and coordination with Information Technology for custom program maintenance, and for the maintenance support team response to enterprise-wide customer requests for complex problem resolution. Configuration includes standard and custom table maintenance and support of enhancements and schema configuration.


The ERP Business Analyst serves as the functional system expert for relevant modules and develops problem solving strategies to guide problem resolution for the team, and guides investigation of unique/first-time instances of system problems reported through the enterprise Shared Services. The candidate must be able to apply knowledge of the SAP platform functionality and the configuration toolkit in order to translate business requirements into functional design specifications, configuration changes or initial settings, module-relevant security settings, and reporting options. This position will report to the ERP Manager.


The ERP Business Analyst is required to understand all relevant levels impacted by the SAP system including: Business Processes and Reporting Requirements, the User Interface, Ancillary Technologies (3rd party applications supporting SAP), the Configuration toolset, and a strong understanding of tables, fields, and the function of source code.


Additionally, the successful candidate must understand the integration of the software platform and implication of module changes on other module functionality, master data impacted, and security and development solutions. The position includes negotiation responsibility to support compromise and alternative solution creation in pursuit of customer satisfaction.


Project Management skills are imperative to support the life cycle of system changes. The position also requires the ability to support periodic system upgrades and enhancements, understand the impact to the current functionality, test


functionality in the upgraded release, and communicate impacts to the team and the Enterprise.


The scope of work is at an enterprise-wide level with typical projects impacting the broader customer base of and its most mission critical systems. Projects will include large scale-integration with a vast, very complex, and highly distributed network infrastructure. Projects often require interaction with various departments and teams both within and outside of the IT department.

Business Operations Manager II/VP - Mortgage Banking (SEC SUPPOR




As a Businss Operations Manager II, will provide support across the Default Owned organization (Collections, Loss Mitigation, Recovery) with a primary focus on providing operational analytics and reporting relative to Loss Mitigation Liquidations.  This candidate will work very closely with the mortgage default business, management, compensation, and other data analysts to ensure the appropriate reports are developed and deployed as needed. In addition, this candidate will play a key role in helping to manage strategic initiatives and identify process efficiencies as it relates to data.

Job Responsibilities: 

Design, write and maintain data requests and/or queries to support the business. 
Interface with LOB and MIS resources to ensure that reports are accurate and deployed in a timely manner. 
Design, develop, and document reporting requirements as defined by the business. 
Create and maintain consistency in reporting across the organization where possible. 
Work closely with the MIS team to investigate issues and resolve any reporting discrepancies. 
Analyze a wide range of reports and presentations used across the organization for accuracy and consistency. 
Identify data process improvements and leverage technology to automate and streamline existing processes. 
Assist in the development of ad-hoc reports or presentations as needed by senior management. 
Develop trending and forecasting models to track and validate various key performance measurements by specific business segment.
