Duties and responsibilities of the :
Reviews credit information to determine quality and sufficiency
Makes recommendation for approval or decline depending on the size of the credit request while work with senior credit approval officers.
May underwrite commercial loan requests that do not fit into defined risk pools.
May act as coach and mentor to others in the credit analysis or commercial underwriting office.
Reviews credit requests up to $500K.
Primarily handles score plus transactions that usually do not require overly complex credit or financial analysis. Makes credit recommendations and approves credit based on lending authority and analysis.
May participate in traditional underwriting transactions as part of learning and development
Incumbent would typically handle complex loans and/or loans of an exceptional basis requiring "traditional" underwriting.
May be assigned to a specific Line of Business (LOB) such as Commercial or Wealth & Investment Management.
Structures credit and recommends loan terms to commercial credit approval officers.
Prepares analysis and preliminary terms for credit approval officer review and approval for deals which involve high levels of unique or complex financial arrangements.
Commercial loans over $1M require working closely with commercial credit approval officers.
Provides higher credit authority review for less experienced commercial underwriters

The right candidate will be someone who has 2-4 Years experience working as a Mortgage and Loan Closer and has experience assigning funding.

Description of Duties: Mortgage Closer

Closes loans and disburses loan funds
Reviews all loan documents for completeness and accuracy
Responsible for preparing broker and correspondent loan closing packages, and ordering funds at the appropriate time for scheduled funding
Reconcile HUD-1 to ensure correct loan settlement, review closed loan docs prior to funding and issue a funding number
Assure error free documentation prior to distribution of closing packages
Deal proactively with all parties involved in the loan closing to avoid and/or resolve problems at closing



Requirements
Required Skills:

High school diploma or its equivalent
Proficient in using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Has excellent organization and multi-tasking skills
2-4 years Loan or Mortgage Closing
Has closed high volume of loans
Familiar with HUD-1 and RESPA 40-60 monthly
