Hospital Medical Biller, CONTRACT, Chicago, IL
We're looking for medical billers with experience in medical billing and collecting for a facility. These candidates will be working closely with other medical billers and collectors to ensure that charges are billed correctly and that money is being brought in for the facility.
The medical biller/collector will have the following experience:
- Hospital/Facility billing and collecting experience
- Experience billing on UB04 forms
- Medicare (primary and secondary), Medicaid, and Managed Care collections/billing experience
- Experience with Florida Share/NGS, Nebo strongly preferred

Under the direction of the ACFO, the senior financial analyst will coordinate and maintain the hospital's financial records and provide accurate and timely financial information for the hospital. The senior financial analyst will apply principles of acceptable accounting standards and other statistical procedures to produce financial reports and other analytical information. The senior financial analyst will be an integral part of the team that prepares the monthly, quarterly and annual work papers for monthly financial packages and other reports as required. The senior financial analyst will prepare and provide supporting documentation for higher level and complex journal entries as assigned. The senior analyst will be the key staff person assigned to proforma development and other financial analysis related to new or continuing hospital initiatives.
Job REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting , Finance or related Business field required
Experience: Experience with personal computer applications including but not limited to Microsoft Office. Must be able to use a 10-key calculator. General business experience desired. 2 -4 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis required. Experience in a healthcare facility highly desirable. *Staff Accountant - Deaconess Hospital
Job DESCRIPTION
The Staff Accountant position has a variety of routine and non-routine functions. There will be multiple daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports that will compose the core work of this position. Additionally there are daily and monthly functions of the Meditech system that need to be performed. This position will also be responsible for the weekly AP check runs as well and some related AP functions. The position will be critical during month end close cycle for entries and reports and analysis in support of the department's needs. Ad Hoc reporting and analysis and reconciliations for the CFO, ACFO, and Controller will also be a large portion of the position's responsibilities. .
Job REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree is required, with an Accounting, Finance, Business, or Mathematics concentration.
Experience: Five years of previous business experience is required. Thorough and comprehensive understanding of the double entry accounting system is required. Proven ability to reconcile accounts is also required. Experience with personal computer applications or data input terminals required. Must be highly proficient with Excel. Experience in a health care facility is desired, but not mandatory. Requires ninety days of on-the-job training to become familiar with hospital policies and procedures and the interrelationship of accounting to the overall operations of the hospital.
