responsible for operations and maintenance of various county buildings and facilities. This
department has an annual operating budget of $918,000 and reports to the Assistant County Administrator. The preferred candidate will have experience leading a multi-faceted facility maintenance department and be comfortable working in a fast paced environment. The
ability to effectively manage staff, have good
organization and planning skills, and work with elected/appointed officials is essential for

Chief Building Official, Boone County Fiscal Court - The county is seeking an experienced and proven professional to fill this department head level position providing county-wide
permitting and inspection service. The Chief
Inspector leads a staff of nine (9) with an annual operating budget of approximately $600,000. The county is a high growth area of the greater Cincinnati metro region and enjoys extended jurisdiction responsibilities with the State of Kentucky. The preferred candidate will possess a college degree, a Level III State Certification (or ability to obtain within reasonable
period of time), and experience leading a multi-faceted, local building inspection department. The ability to work effectively with elected/appointed officials, development
community, staff and the general public is essential. Computer skills will be beneficial to lead the department to find innovative ways to
better utilize technology for improving efficiency and customer service.
