Looking for someone that is consultative and results driven that can help get the accounting organization to the next level. The Ideal candidate will be a CPA with 5 - 8 years of accounting experience with a least 2 years managing the financials, including: accounting operations, financial reporting, budgets & forecasts, policies & procedures, internal controls and financial systems.
Other responsibilities include:
- Supervise and develop a staff of up to 5 direct reports
- Direct and oversee the monthly financial closing process, including the preparation of internal and external financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and the reporting of financial results on a monthly basis to the executive team
- Implement and enforce accounting policies and procedures
- Analyze and investigate variances to budget, forecasts, and prior year results
- Primary contact with the outside accounting firm and banking institution
- Research and interpret technical accounting guidance RequirementsRequirements
- Candidate must be degreed in accounting or finance and be a CPA; public accounting foundation preferred.
- Must have 5-8 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years of experience managing and developing a staff.
- The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with several others in the organization including operations/marketing teams.
- Solid understanding and application of GAAP required.
