Purpose:
The is part of the AICPA management accounting team. The position will work to develop resources and content and will be an advocate for Chartered Global Management Accountants (CGMAs) and other AICPA members working in business, industry and government.

Inform and educate members Working with colleagues across the AICPA and its joint venture partner the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, support development of management accounting research reports, tools, professional development, publications and other resources for CGMAs and CPAs in industry.Develop new management accounting resources and tools for use by members.Review and evaluate current business and accounting news and trends for impact on CPAs practicing the profession in industry roles and for possible communication to CGMA and industry members through newsletters, articles and/or websites.Help identify the top issues and technologies affecting the profession and integrate, as applicable, into AICPA products, programs and services.Represent AICPA on special projects relating to content development for members.Use various means of communication (print, electronic, in person, etc.) to educate the membership about financial accounting and reporting, management accounting and reporting, corporate governance and other issues of interest to CGMAs and CPAs working in industry and government. Educate and influence colleagues Incumbent is responsible for establishing and developing working relationships with various teams within the AICPA and CIMA to assure that members interests are considered in all activities and initiatives. Enthusiastically represent CGMA, industry and government member constituency with colleagues and leadership (volunteer and staff) throughout the AICPA; educating and influencing them to support the AICPA mission and vision to deliver products, programs, and services to members that meet and exceed their expectations. Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with other AICPA and CIMA teams in a product-oriented mode: conferences, publications, CPA2Biz, etc. in creating deliverables for membersOutreach Take advantage of opportunities for speaking engagements at AICPA, state society and other professional events, to promote and educate on the AICPA, CGMA and the CPA's role in business, industry and government organizations.Respond to member inquiries on a timely basis, whether they are written, e-mail, telephone or otherwise communicated. Member Contact Along with the Director and the other Sr. Technical, Technical and Project Managers provide senior staff support to the Business & Industry Executive Committee (BIEC), and a variety of volunteer task forces such as the Government Performance Accountability Committee (GPAC).Coordinate and facilitate sub-committee meetings and represent AICPA as staff liaison including managing the preparation of agendas, keeping notes, preparing and distributing meeting highlights on a timely basis following each meeting, etc. Expected Metrics: Development/completion of project/program timelines. Feedback from sponsors, cross-teams, colleagues, customers, etc. Depth, number and quality of improvements. Projects completed on time, budget, and schedule.New processes identified for improvement with sponsor/business owner buy-in.Team metrics for member enrollmentContent metrics, including resource downloads, website usage and newsletter subscriptions
CPA and CGMA designations are essential, with a minimum of 6 years of experience in business and industry.BA or BS DegreeMBA or Masters Degree is not required though it is considered an assetInternational experiencePhysical Demands
