Senior Financial Accountant

Job Description

Stable and growing Financial Services firm located in the DC metro area is in search of an experienced to join their team. 

Responsibilities:

 

Prepare SEC financial statements (including 10Q / 10K) Provide ad hoc reports Perform other projects as directed by the Accounting Manager

 

Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or related degree Advanced experience demonstrating skill performing and / or reviewing monthly accounting responsibilities (for example, journal entries, financial analyses or account reconciliations) Cost Accounting experience Advanced experience demonstrating skill analyzing financial statement variances (balance sheet and / or income statement) on a monthly, quarterly and / or annual basis that are supported by accurate Advanced experience demonstrating skill applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to identify, research, and analyze accounting issues and recommend solutions / actions Advanced experience demonstrating skill preparing and/or supporting the preparation of internal and / or external reporting to SEC

 

Salary: $70,000
