Building People Capability:
Conducts full-cycle recruiting efforts for all exempt and nonexempt personnel; maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment; Works in conjunction with field team, Regional Directors, Area Directors, and General Mangers to make hiring decisions. Assists and participates in employee relations functions such as dispute resolution, discipline, communications, etc., ensuring a positive morale. This includes handling telephone calls, complaints and questions as needed. Handles employee relations counseling and exit interviewing. Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures. Advises Area Directors and General Managers and makes recommendations with consideration given to legal requirements, and policy adherence. Conducts focus groups, culture surveys, and quality circles to be proactive in resolving issues. Has a consistent read on the attitudes and climates of each of the restaurants in their region. Support Coaching Culture through regular field visits with Area Directors and Management teams. Coaches, maintains and champions the Manpower planning and internal promotion processes. Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database. Measures and manages retention and turnover objectives. Ensures that turnover goals are effectively communicated and that annual turnover reduction targets are achieved. Collaborate with Field Training Manager and Operations to ensure compliance with Safety policy and procedure.
Compliance:
Supports compliance with legislative requirements, including reporting and posting. Ensures compliance of pay programs with legislated requirements, such as wage and hour law, equal pay legislation, etc. Support design and implementation of pay and performance programs. Present training including: I9, hiring, interviewing, recruiting techniques, etc. as required by the company.
Relationship Management:
Provides value and business insight to discussions with ACG Texas’ management teams. Builds solid working relationships across the company and at all levels within the organization. Act as a coach and business partner to field operators. RequirementsPosition Specifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources, or equivalent work experience strongly preferred. Three to five years experience as a generalist, including management or hands-on experience in all of the following areas; payroll & benefits, recruiting/staffing, employee relations, employment law, company culture development, training, compensation, and benefits. Proficient PC experience with business and database applications (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Restaurant industry experience preferred. PHR or SPHR certification strongly preferred. Bi-lingual in Spanish strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of federal and state labor regulations, benefits, wage and hour laws, and EEO regulations. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem solving skills. Proven leadership skills with an ability to function with a multi-cultural organization.View the Original article
