The position will perform the following duties:

Supports the Senior Finance Management and Senior Accountant in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance / Accounting Department.

Examines or analyzes accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.

Create, track and analyze monthly financial reports including vendor managed income contributions and return on vendor programs for tracking, including local purchasing and marketing programs and corporate pass-back programs.

Assists in preparing forecast by cost center.

Monitors sales margins including Gross Profit (GP) percentage, dollars, dollars per case and dollars by drop. Also, monitors profit by sales staff and customer.

Tracks monthly financial reports including vendor managed income contributions and return on vendor investments.

Analyze daily orders for cost errors or price discrepancies. Monitor cost and pricing products by category to insure profit expectations while growing sales.

Provide recommendations for enhancing company profits.

Implement and maintain Burden/Standards on new and existing items.

Data Entry, Maintenance and monitoring of all vendor programs for tracking including local purchasing and marketing programs and corporate pass-back programs. May include, but not limited to: billbacks, rebates, incentives for sales staff and managed income.

Evaluate bid items for contract maintenance and compliance to maximize margins. Ensure correctness of cost for bids prior to calculate and roll process.

Evaluate and interact with Senior Management on approval of customer rebate/discount programs.

Analyze monthly receivables for local and corporate programs.

Prepares Ad Hoc analyses, as needed.

Print reports for management or other departments; maintain accurate records.

Send invoices to vendors or brokers.

Performs other duties as assigned.
