The , Corporate Development Finance Support is responsible for assisting in managing complex accounting projects primarily focused on mergers, acquisitions and divestitures across the Company?s commercial platform. This role requires interface with commercial personnel and coordination of multi-functional support groups to support initiatives ranging from mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, accounting policy and practice, and internal control compliance. The individual will work with external auditors; external legal counsel; corporate audit; tax; treasury; operational accounting; general accounting; technical accounting; human resources; payroll; upstream accounting; settlements; contracts; legal; operations; front office personnel including marketers, portfolio management and origination, and asset management group; executive and senior management; corporate strategy group; risk; credit; treasury; and information technology groups.





Minimum:




 
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent and a CPA

 


 
Proficient accounting professional with proven experience in public accounting firm or financial institution. At least 8 years of related experience

 


 
Experience in the preparation of financial statements and managing month-end close process

 


 
Strong analytical background with experience managing, researching and resolving complex issues requiring interpretation, the application of keen business acumen combined with mature and prudent business judgment

 


 
Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with all levels of the company including Senior Management

 


 
Ability to perform demanding and complex accounting in a transaction environment

 


 
A highly motivated individual who works well in a fast paced, time sensitive environment. Ability to multi-task is essential. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of people to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
