Our client is currently seeking a for high net worth individuals to join their team on a temporary basis until October 2012. This top New York finance firm has offices in New York, Silicon Valley, Boston, Mumbai and Herzliya and manages more than $4 billion of venture capital invested in over 130 companies around the world. They focus on investment activity around several well-developed thematic "roadmaps", seeking out entrepreneurial opportunities that align with these themes across a wide mix of industries, geographies, and stages.
Description of the Role:
The individual will spend the majority of time working with ultra high net worth individuals and families and all the related planning, projects and compliance requirements that may arise. They will also work on moderate to complex personal, S-Corporation, partnership and gift tax returns and issues. They will prepare and sometimes review individual tax returns, quarterly and annual income tax projections, estimated tax vouchers, extension forms and all related work papers in accordance with tax department standards. In addition, the individual will be involved overseeing the filing of all tax forms and related disbursements with tax authorities, tracking the status of assignments and assisting in and becoming involved in the research of pertinent tax issues. This individual is expected to present the senior team members with a complete, timely and accurate client deliverable in an efficient manner.
This position can also entail analyzing and summarizing current as well as historical financial data in order to prepare many of the following unaudited statements: balance sheets, statements of net worth, income statements, cash flow statements and estate plan summaries.
Examples of projects include retirement planning and required minimum distribution planning, Roth IRA conversion analysis, charitable contribution planning, private foundation minimum pay-out analysis, stock option analysis and planning, loan amortization schedule preparation and or review and other miscellaneous financial planning projects and research.
