It includes reviewing the organization's activities for efficiently and effectively carrying out their control functions and appraising the economy and efficiency with which resources are utilized and recommending solutions to problems where appropriate.

Additional responsibilities include:

Prepare audit workpapers that accurately and effectively document audit processes undertaken - including established audit objectives, documenting of process(es), test work performed and findings/conclusions reached.

Work closely with staff and management of departments or processes being audited to obtain accurate and complete information and to foster their understanding and acceptance of audit findings and recommendations.

Assist in the completion and revision of existing audit programs as necessary to evaluate the adequacy of internal controls, determine compliance with company policies/procedures, applicable laws and regulations.

Participate in exit meetings to present audit findings and assist in preparation of audit reports that accurately and effectively convey audit results to management.

Contribute to meeting the annual audit plan and assist with the annual risk assessment.
