We are looking for a temp to hire person in the customer care department.  The worker will primarily focus on shipping documentation for customers.  They will spend a great deal of time on the phone and must pay close attention to detail.  Familiarity with transport documents is a must have.  Must be comfortable using computers and will spend a good deal of time on the phone. 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

Primary responsibility is to follow-up to obtain Bills of Lading or other transportation documentation that accurately shows the movement of equipment across state and international borders in support of the exemptions of taxes. Follow-up will include requesting information from buyer/customers, transportation carriers and brokers/exporters to obtain the required documentation to support the company’s exemption of sales tax. Once the documents are received they need to be verified for completeness to the standards that  support an independent audit. Relevant and verified documents must be attached to the Customer Care Relationship System , Buyer Record for future  audit purposes to minimize the Company’s sales tax liability. This position will require creating monthly management reports that track outstanding /missing transportation documents and the progress made in document collection.
