The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences Dean’s Office seeks applicants for a position as a (UCP 5) for the CLAS Business Services Center. Under the direction of the Manager of Financial Services, the incumbent will maintain and monitor departmental budgets as well as records of financial transactions for the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences.

 

Duties include: analyzing and verifying budgets, making revenue and expense projections, reviewing financial processes and procedures for efficiency and effectiveness. The incumbent will analyze financial data highlighting trends, identifying patterns and make recommendations to the Manager of Financial Services identifying improvements that can be made.

 


 RequirementsMinimum Qualifications: Five to ten years progressively responsible experience in financial record keeping, supervision and reporting; sound knowledge of budget preparation and fiscal control methods; knowledge of accounting practices and procedures; ability to analyze and modify fiscal procedures; and ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.

 

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related fields and two to four years related experience; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated customer service skills; and excellent computer skills including experience with Microsoft programs.

 

This is a 12-month position, with excellent benefits and programs.
