Highway Equipment Company has been in business since 1933, and we are currently looking for an .  This position is an administrative/sales position in our Sales department, and the ideal candidate will work in an ambassador role as a representative of a fast-paced and growing Company.  The main responsibilities are:

Assisting walk-in customers and call-in customers Processing sales and/or rental orders Processing manufacturer orders Arranging customer freight and internal freight Knowledge of the customer’s needs Knowledge of the features, benefits and attachments of our equipment to be sold and/or rented Knowledge of the competitive environment and inventory

 

This person must have excellent customer service skills and listening skills.  The person in this position will require general supervision, and he/she will be required to perform other duties as assigned. 

 Requirements

Education, Training, Skills, Abilities:

High school diploma or equivalent Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to read and write the English language Basic mathematics and computer skills Excellent telephone skills (answer promptly and professionally) Exercise a reasonable degree of judgment Recognize and follow company procedures and policies Ability to operate all products and models of our equipment Must have a valid driver’s license

 

Experience:

Minimum of one (1) year of administrative experience Minimum of one (1) year of Sales or Customer Service experience
