Job Description

FINANCIAL ADVISOR
The Financial Advisor will be expected to build a trusted, competent, and confident relationships with clients by having the capability and authority to provide financial solutions for life.

Each Financial Advisor will be responsible for driving the investment sales for a specific territory of financial services centers.

Accountable for retention, penetration, and acquisition of new business for their individual portfolio of clients.

Meeting Teambuilder goals established for referrals to other Univest business units.

Selling and recommending a broad range of investment, insurance and banking products.

Relating closely with Branch Bankers to cultivate mutual referrals and provide them with ongoing sales training and education on investment products.

Individual on-going training / continuing education for skill building and license maintenance

Responsible for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to this position, including the Univest Code of Conduct

Perform additional duties as required

SENIOR FINANCIAL ADVISOR

Financial Planning and general Investment guidance to High Net Worth clients. 

Create leads of prospective clients and delivering Financial Solutions to these prospects. 

Advisor will usually be assigned to a broad region for focused market penetration.

Recommend comprehensive financial solutions (banking, insurance, brokerage, etc.) for clients, complementing the investment focus.

Client servicing responsibilities as client base is developed.

Responsible for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to your position, including the Univest Code of Conduct.

All other duties as assigned.

 

 Job Requirements FINANCIAL ADVISOR
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cooperatively with all individuals within Univest

Inner drive to sell with demonstrated sales skills and experience

A strong focus on achievement; results-oriented

Self-starter with the ability to set priorities and manage responsibilities

Series 7 and 63 (or 65) securities licenses and PA Life & Health insurance license required.

CFP® and or advanced degree preferred.

 

Competitive Commission Structure

SENIOR FINANCIAL ADVISOR

 5-7 Years experience in Investment Sales in either a Brokerage or Bank Investment Advisory setting.

Ability to provide customization of Investment Strategies to meet client needs.

Proven track record of Sales success.

4 year degree and NASD Series 7, 63 and Insurance licenses required. CFP preferred

Working knowledge of 401(k),pensions, SEPS, investments and other applicable products.

Involvement in local community and COI contacts are helpful.
