Summary:  The is responsible for collections related to the eligibility, claim preparation, claim submission, claim resolution, claim follow-up and credit balance adjudication and reporting for all CFA services provided to recipients/members of Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance companies.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Make outbound calls to insurance carriers for Medicare/Medicaid and commercial collections Balance Billing to Medicaid payer after Private Insurance Companies pay for services Monitor Accounts Receivable Status (Aging) Resolve and correct rejected claims; prepare for resubmission RIM reporting (Philadelphia County) Negotiate payments or payment arrangements with Management guidance Identify and investigate delinquencies and recommend appropriate dispositions Investigate causes for non-payments, initiate claim adjustments and re-submit claims Track billing information and collection status in MS Excel and internal database Maintain strictest confidentiality  with adherence to all HIPAA Guidelines / Regulations Other duties as assigned by Management  Requirements

Education & Experience

            Minimum requirements for the position:

High School Diploma required, Associates Degree in Accounting or related field preferred 1-3 years of experience in medical or behavioral health collections Experience with Medicare/Medicaid and commercial collections Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software, with emphasis on Microsoft Excel Ability to learn Credible, Center’s computer-based client management system Strong organizational skills and detail orientation Ability to multi-task and prioritize Problem solving skills and perseverance Ability to handle confidential information and meet deadlines
