Senior Project Manager, Oracle Financials















Description

 

Summary:
Responsible for managing IT project teams including end user and third party provider activities pertaining to the design, development, testing, documentation, and implementation of Oracle 11i Financials - GL, AP, FA, iExpense, and PA.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the creation and evaluation of Oracle 11i Financials based solutions to support ADT business requirements.
Overall management of team and assigned projects, including coordination, status reports, and stability of the project work effort; manage financial, scope, and critical path for assigned projects.
Track key project milestones and adjust project plans and/or resources to meet customer needs and requirements.
Coordinate communication with all enterprise areas that impact the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the project.
Utilize and implement project management processes and methodologies for IT that ensures projects are delivered on-time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards, and meet the customer's expectations.
Assist Program Manager(s) in partnering with senior management in the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities to utilize IT to achieve enterprise goals.
Possess high-level knowledge and proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices, and change management techniques.
Works directly with partners and clients to determine project scope and specifications.
Reviews progress, manages resources, and ensures overall quality of assigned projects.
Serves as liaison between team members and functional area management requesting project.
Performs other duties as assigned.





Qualifications

 
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Information Technology from an accredited college or university.  Additional Finance, Accounting, Six Sigma, and/or Project Management (PMP) certifications are desirable.

Experience: 8 - 10 years of previous project management with hands-on implementation experience within the Oracle 11i Financials area. 

Skills:
Detailed knowledge in multiple Oracle 11i Financials modules including GL, FA, AP, iExpense, and PA.
Possesses high-level knowledge and proficiency in Project Management methodologies, Resource Management practices and Change Management techniques.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop presentations and present to senior management.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of business principles, practices, and procedures.
Functional expertise and fundamental business knowledge to contribute to the strategic direction of the Finance function and supported client group(s).

Current Need


Implementation Consultant to join the Paragon team. Will plan, conduct and direct the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems. Will partner with users to identify, evaluate and develop systems and procedures which are cost effective and meet user requirements. May plan and execute unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Designs details of building an integrated HIS.. May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues. Position focused on installing Paragon General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Materials Management, Payroll and Patient Supply Charging.

Position Description


Plans, conducts, and directs the analysis of clinical/ healthcare business problems to be solved with clients via automated systems and/or business processes. Responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating programs, applications software, and/or services for clients. May recommend changes in software development, business processes, maintenance, and/or system standards. Partners with clients and/or business users to identify, evaluate, and develop products, procedures and/or systems which are cost effective and meet business needs.

Additional Knowledge & Skills


Conduct onsite setup, education, consulting and support for the Implementation of Paragon Products from kick-off to go-live. Experience working with hospital General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Materials Management, Fixed Assets and Payroll preferred. Relevant application installations experience are a plus.

Traveling position relo not required (80% travel)

This PeopleSoft Technical Lead focused position exists to effectively lead team efforts and participate in the implementation of the IT/IS initiatives. The incumbent is expected to have strong PeopleSoft Finance applications experience in Order Management, Inventory Management, Manufacturing, Job Costing and Finance related modules.

 

•           The position will collaborate with Business Units and IT/IS organizations in implementing business strategies and processes in order to establish the systems, tools, and information needed for effectiveness.

•           The incumbent will be responsible for providing leadership and subject matter expertise on the domain and institutional knowledge for the maintenance, support, and development of client systems, applications, and tools.

•           This role will specifically work in collaboration with Vendor Leads and their engineering teams and the Client Community to provide enterprise and system level consulting on software design and development efforts.

•           The incumbent will be expected to effectively understand needs, define solutions, plan and control projects, communicate progress, resolve issues and generally assure effective communications with their customers as well as the IT/IS organizations.
