Under general direction, independently develops, modifies, and implements moderately to highly complex information systems that are thorough and accurate and conform to Macy’s Systems & Technology standards.  Translates customer requirements, recommending system solutions and formulating detailed specifications from which programs are written.  Independently researches and resolves more complex technical problems.  A top level technical/functional contributor in one or more highly specialized phases of application system analysis and programming with strong business application knowledge.  May serve as primary system support for two or more complex information systems based on in-depth system knowledge

Key Accountabilities: 
Work closely with business partners to identify and define current business processes and define requirements for the implementation of Oracle E-Business Suite Researches existing software components and technology, explores design and infrastructure options and recommends solutions based on customer requirements. Designs, builds, codes or modifies highly complex systems. Identifies technical and operations risks associated with all phases of development of new systems and existing systems. Responsible for training, mentoring, directing and validating work of other analysts. Keeps management informed on a timely basis of progress, status, and concerns for each assignment. Effectively communicates ideas and information with peers, management and customers. Assist with the definition of scope by phase for the overall initiative Performs other duties as assigned Skill Summary:
Technical/Functional Subject Matter Expert with experience implementing and configuring Oracle eBusiness Suite (General Ledger and Procure to Pay specifically). Minimum of 5 years of experience in the specification, development, and delivery of software solutions. Expertise in Application Development using Oracle Forms, Reports, Workflow, SQL Loader, Forms Personalization, XML Publisher. Proven experience acting as the liaison between the customer and development team to identify and deliver the most effective technology solution. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple and changing priorities Ability to drive requirements gathering using effective elicitation and documentation techniques Ability to develop use cases Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work cooperatively with our customer and project teams to get issues resolved quickly Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly, listen effectively to others and encourage others to express their ideas Ability to play an active role in system and user acceptance testing support. Advanced skills in MS Office applications, especially Word, Excel, Visio and Sharepoint Willingness to travel up to 50% BS/BA degree (Accounting, Math, Computer Systems or related) or equivalent business and technical expertise.
