Job Description 

SENIOR  IT ACCOUNTANT

My client is a  commercial developer, builder  and  property  leasing  company.  They  are  looking  for  a  Senior  IT  accountant  to  enter  and  analyze  data  from  several  different  regional offices. Shared  Services  management  is  essential  to  this  position.   

All data is associated  with procurement and  management of the following; computer  hardware, computer  software, construction related items and maintenance items. The Senior IT accountant  is  a  position  that  exists in  the  IT  region  support center in Atlanta, GA. 

The  position  will  communicate  with  the following departments;  IT, IT Support, Shared Services, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Procurement, Property  Maintenance, Asset  Management,  Accounts Payable  and  Accounts Receivable. 

The company  uses  an Oracle  based  ERP system  called  “E1". It  is  similar  to   a JD Edwards  program but with  advanced  technology. 

 

 

 

Job Requirements 

Essential Job Functions, Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for  IT  reports  from  regional  data  centers. Analyze, explain and  resolve  ALL  monthly  financial reports  for  variances Responsible for  all financial   reports  from  regional  data  centers. Responsible for  all government  reports  from  regional  data  centers. Coordinate forecast  process with  IT directors  from  other regional offices. Analyze  financial information for  details  regarding  assets, P&L  and  financial  position . Support  procurement  department. Create and monitor  budgets  for  ALL  global  IT  departments.

 

General Background and Minimum Requirements

A four year deg. in acct/fin with a MBA or related Masters Degree or CPA preferred. 5 - 8 years experience in the accounting field.  Experience and knowledge of  aspects of corporate accounting & fin. mgmt. req. Previous IT experience preferred, but not required. Proficiency in ORACLE SOFTWARE  IS  A  MUST. Proficiency in  MS OFFICE software is a must.  APPLICATIONS  WILL BE ACCEPTED FROM EXCEL  EXPERTS ONLY.   A  TEST WILL BE  ADMINISTERED AS PART OF INTERVIEW.
