Calculates tax, transfer and license fees. Obtains license plates, tags and registration as needed for customers. Assists other departments & store locations with trade-in title work & getting duplicate titles. Keeps vehicle record in computer system up-to-date regarding the status of the title transfer. Pick up of vehicle titles when necessary. Generates weekly status reports that identify discrepancies, insurance problems, etc. Identifies and prepares customer refunds for any excess fees charged to customers. Corresponds with motor vehicle agencies to clear automobile titles. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be 18 years of age with at least six (6) months general office experience and automotive title experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office with excellent proficiency in Excel. Attention to detail is essential as well as the ability to interact with customers, managers and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimal errors. Excellent verbal communication; extensive phone contact. Must be a North Carolina Notary Must have ADP Experience Account Receivable, Cash Management, and General Ledger Experience Required as wellAll applicants must be authorized to work in the USA and must be able to pass pre-employment requirements including MVR, drug test and have a valid driver’s license.
