Assistant Controller

 
Job DESCRIPTION To assist the Controller in providing supervision and training for day to day activities within the Accounting Department to include: Accounts Payable, Payroll, General Accounting, Fixed Assets, third party reimbursement. To ensure that proper financial procedures and guidelines are followed in accordance with GAAP and Corporate Blue Book Policy and that financial/statistical information is recorded timely and accurately.Also responsible for coordinating decision support efforts, including cost accounting and contract modeling.
 Job REQUIREMENTSEducation:   Bachelor's degree or equivalent education in Accounting.  CMA or CPA designation preferred.Experience/ Certifications:Minimum of three years hospital accounting experience or equivalent experience with a public accounting firm.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem solving skillsExcellent typing and ten-key calculator skills and knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and personal computers.  Comprehensive knowledge of hospital costing processes
