Responsibilities
Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures. Manage outsourced functions such as payroll. Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives. Ad hoc analyses and projects as needed by Senior Management. Oversee accounts receivable and payables. Maintain the chart of accounts. Support Principle with personal finances and budgets for family payroll.Issue timely and complete financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cashflow). Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management. Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for pricing decisions and contract negotiations. Assist clients and or investors in the firm with the set up of bookkeeping policies and procedures.
Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for an annual audit, if required. Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
