Senior Project Manager (financial services)




Job Description



Senior Project Manager role that leads internal and supplier project teams in defining, planning, and implementing new projects to achieve specific business objectives. Analyzes project needs, establishes a project management strategy and recommends the appropriate level of planning, scheduling and control. Implements a project management system that meets the customer needs under the prevailing standards and methodologies. Manages the development, execution, updating and reporting of project plans and schedules. Has responsibility and accountability for successfully managing projects using internal and supplier teams and project methodology.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Proven experience with the use and improvement of project execution processes through good understanding of project management best practices especially in areas such as Project Planning, Project Management & Control, Risk Management, Configuration/Version Management, etc. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proven track record of delivering IT projects Proven experience of managing multiple complex projects concurrently Proven experience of working with Senior IT and Business Management Proficient in Stakeholder Analysis and Management Knowledgeable of cost/benefit analysis and cost/integrated scheduling Experience in detailed risk analysis and contingency planning. Customer / Operational / Business Focus Excellent communication skills Strong Microsoft Project Skills Excellent project management skills

HIGHLY DESIRED EXPERIENCE Capital Markets/Treasury Accounting Background Experience delivering projects in a Banking/Financial Services organization Knowledge of SDP and Clarity Experience with the Sungaurd Sierra product, SAS, Salesforce and/or SAP Technical IT skill set
