Ensures accuracy and timeliness of all mutual fund and equity trades. Ensure various reconciliations are completed within predefined deadlines, and all variances are promptly and accurately documented and resolved. Prepare reports for Senior Management.

Essential Functions:

1.Oversees the Mutual Fund Trading processes, ensuring all mutual fund and equity trades are executed and settled accurately and timely. Ensure that any variances or trade exceptions are researched and resolved in an accurate and timely manner. Assist staff with the more complex trading and reconciliation issues
2.Oversees the daily activities relating to the Fund Elimination and Plan Deconversion processes. Arranges for exception handling of large liquidations and purchases when needed, and ensures staff notifies Fund Houses of large trades. Verifies reconciliations are completed accurately and timely.
3. Manages Mutual Fund Trading Department: Includes monitoring the workflow and planning and scheduling work assignments. Makes hiring and salary recommendations, develops training procedures and provides training, conducts performance evaluations and manages staff issues according to company and divisional policies.
4. Work with the business units and outside entities to determine strategies around the more complex new business conversions and existing business deconversions. Assist in answering RFP questions and inquiries on feasibility of adding new funds. Review and comment on new fund partner trading agreements.
5. Ensures all internal controls are set up and functioning properly. Ensures that all accounting entries relating to trade and settlement variances and trading errors are accurately recorded on a daily basis. Ensures that trading gains and losses are recorded accurately, timely and charged to the appropriate department.
6. Completes ad hoc reporting request for senior management as needed.
7. Responsible for the evaluation of system capabilities versus business requirements. Acts as the business project leader on system enhancements, functional additions, and resolution of system problems. Ensure team has up to date test plans and completes user acceptance testing within required timeframes.
8. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration
Current FINRA Series 6 and 26 or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire is required.
This position requires submission of fingerprints to FINRA
Six years mutual fund operations or related experience preferred and four years supervisory experience.
Intermediate to advanced Excel and Access skills.
Strong management, organizational, analytical/problem solving, written and verbal communication skills.
