Position Summary
Under limited supervision the is responsible for making the most complex decisions on loans, and extensive analysis of business partner/customer’s file. The may make decisions within the organization’s tolerances, based on complex information-gathering and analysis of the credit file. The is expected to be a Production Lead, a Subject Matter Expert and a mentor for others and assist with identifying areas for continuous process improvement and training. This position may occasionally require travel to represent HDFS at Harley-Davidson Dealer events.
Primary Responsibilities
Process the most complex credit applications with a maximum approved amount of up to 60k and total aggregate exposure of up to 85k Holds greater credit authority to negotiate loan structure with dealers regarding acceptable exception criteria which includes pricing, loan advance, debt ratio, down payment, dealer recourse and auto-decline override exceptions Manages communication with dealer customer regarding the most complex inquires via the telephone and/or electronic media. Takes escalated calls from less senior originations associates Ability to analyze the most difficult/complex loans and use sound credit analysis skills Can facilitate classroom training for credit associates and flexible work staff Functions as a Subject Matter Expert and a mentor resource for others Uses effective time management to ensure customer service experience is satisfactory and meets expectations Backs up Origination teams as needed to support operational flexibility Researches, analyzes and resolves pending credit applications Protection of employees, customers and corporate information is everyone's responsibility at HDFS.
