Accountant II

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is an integral and challenging position in the Cost Accounting Department responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial postings for production, casino service and project-related activities, review and analysis of financial results, and variance analysis/reporting. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required as this contributes to specialized reports with executive-level visibility. Individual will liaise with numerous business partners including Operations, Casino Service, Engineering, and Product Management.
Successful candidate provides highly detailed analyses and appropriate supporting documentation, prepares complex journal entries, performs account reconciliations, and evaluates and performs internal control procedures to ensure Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance. Other duties include performing research associated with products and standard costs while working with cross-functional business partners.
