Position Purpose
Located in the Pensacola, FL office, the applies principles and procedures of accounting to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements, and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, reconcile banks, document business transactions, and prepare reports for all related entities, owners, and management while working closely with the corporate team. Assists owner with personal financial information, bank and lending relationships, and wealth management. Performs account reconciliations, check processing, and 1099 vendor file maintenance. Maintains budgets, accurate accounting records, and accounting procedures for owner and related entities. Prepares and posts journal entries. Supports corporate team with preparing draw requests, including soft cost and construction cost, monthly and quarterly closing, and special projects. Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Competencies Required
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting plus five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA preferred Real Estate partnership accounting and tax accounting in the construction industry preferred Familiarity with accounting software (Quickbooks preferred) Proficient in MS Office software (Excel and Word) This position requires local travel and occasional out of town travel.
