As an under the direct supervision of the DHHS Executive Director, the will supervise the Third Party Billing Supervisor.
The will ensure the development and implementation of financial, budget, third party revenue policies and procedures, consistent with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and consistent with the standards of a health services organization.
The will develop internal control standards and maintain strict accurate records. Ensure accurate internal and external reporting and work closely with the DHHS Executive Director and executive staff to provide financial management and strategic budget planning with the annual program budgeting.
The will also review requisition /purchase orders for accuracy, signatures and available funding, processed by the department.
The shall track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders calculate costs of orders, and charge or forward invoices to appreciate accounts. Prepare checks to pay authorized purchase orders; assist with travel checks and vouchers; and prepare monthly and annual financial reports. Compiles and analyses financial information, evaluates and reports on the progress of financial development.
The is
responsible for reconciliations, accounts payable and receivables. Prepares accounts payable and receivable for department activities, oversees the invoice information that goes into computer database, verifies totals contacts vendors to verify billing or for past due accounts and performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree or higher that includes a major field of study in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or closely related field.
NOTE: Applicant must submit a copy of all college transcripts and/or degree to meet positive education requirements. In addition, must have five (5) years of experience in management and supervisory experience in a health care organization setting which includes duties in fund
accounting, billing, contract/procurement practices and budgeting or a related field.
