Payroll Tax Clerk


Job Description

 

Dominion Enterprises, headquartered in Norfolk, VA, has an immediate need for a full-time .  

The will be responsible for multiple operational tasks, including leading the payroll process, filing payroll taxes in multiple jurisdictions, reviewing, tracking financial operating metrics and participation in the monthly close.

administrative offices in Norfolk, VA. 

Primary Responsibilities:

Prepare and file federal, state and local payroll tax payments and returns in multiple jurisdictions on a daily/monthly/quarterly basis. Prepare headcount tax forms. Reconcile payroll tax accounts to the general ledger and book journal entries. Reconcile payroll reports to 941s and W-2s. Research and reconciliation of payroll taxes from prior periods. Research and respond to IRS and State notifications. Assist with the various integration tasks associated with new company acquisitions. Other
responsibilities as assigned.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

Self-starter; ability to work independently in a fast pace environment. High level of confidentiality, integrity and work standards. High attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite; advanced MS Excel skills a plus. 3-5 years experience with payroll tax filings and compliance issues. Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting; CPP a
plus.
