Financial Control Risk (FCR) is responsible for supporting the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements as defined in the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and by ING Group. In addition, FCR is responsible for supporting the Model Audit Rule (MAR) requirements as defined by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC). The responsibilities of the FCR Senior Analyst include the execution of the SOX/MAR testing (testing of internal controls and sub-processes), deficiency reporting, walk-throughs of sub-processes and key controls, and special projects. Below are the major job responsibilities of the Senior Analyst within FCR:

1) Facilitates and executes the test of design and test of effectiveness of in-scope high risk/complex business sub-processes and key controls, as defined within the business unit sub-process narratives and key control matrices.
2) Completes high risk/complex testing by collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and verifying information. This information is examined to determine whether records and reports contain accurate, reliable, timely, and complete information. In addition, the information is examined to determine whether internal controls over the records, reports, and documentation are adequate and effective.
3) Documents the procedures used in each testing assignment and participates in the preparation of detailed hard copy and electronic workpapers to include: controls tested, issues noted, evidence, and associated risk.
4) Creates test scripts based on information obtained within the BU sub-process narratives and key control matrices.
5) Completes testing and walkthroughs in accordance with standards for external audit reliance and ING requirements.
6) Schedules assignments and manages workload based on agreed upon deadlines.
7) Completes special projects as needed to support IORM Management and business units.
8) Mentors and provides explanation of controls and testing assignments.
9) Works with sub-process owners and SOX Core Team Leads on the analysis of potential issues.
10) Coordinates with sub-process owners and SOX Core Team Leads on testing schedule, process changes, and evidence gathering.
11) Provides assistance for the external auditors as needed relational to SOX/MAR testing and review.

 Requirements

-Preferred Work Experience: 3-4 years experience in financial reporting (prefer US GAAP, IFRS, and/or Statutory) or audit (internal/external); Controls (i.e. SOX, MAR) testing experience preferred

-Education - Degree: Bachelor/Masters degree in Accounting

-Professional Designation: CPA, CIA

-Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
