Customer Service Education :  High School Experience :  At least 1 year(s) Post Date :  4/13/2012 Contact Information Ref ID : 1200619  Description American Airlines Federal Credit Union has an opening for a 50% Flex Member Services Representative at its branch located at its DCA Branch, located within Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.An important component of the MSR role is building positive relationships with AAFCU members, which is key in understanding member needs and recommending appropriate products and services to fulfill those needs. Daily job duties include: Opening new accounts Promoting and processing Credit Union services for new and existing members Posting deposits & loan payments, including Home Equity draws and line of credit advances, as well as processing other types of monetary transactions Providing members with problem resolution in various aspects of their accounts Maintaining account information Cross-selling loans Performing Notary Public services Assisting with branch goals and promotions Balancing all items processed on a daily basis Scanning all checks Performing duties required to open and/or close the branch, if neededMust be flexible and willing to perform other duties as assigned.Branch hours are: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Mondays through Fridays.  The schedule for this position is for a 50% Reduced Work Week/Flex assignment but may require additional work hours.  Schedule will be set based upon operational needs. The selected candidate must have flexibility to provide coverage any time during branch hours, as needed, as well as attend required meetings before or after hours, if scheduled.The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account information and Credit Union documents and that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.Job level to be determined based upon the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
 Requirements High school diploma or GED required Some college preferred Previous banking or Credit Union experience preferred Must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language Bilingual in Spanish is a plus Applicant must be VERY comfortable in a sales-cultured environment with the ability and desire to successfully cross-sell Credit Union products and services Capable of effectively working with people of varying backgrounds and levels and securing inter- and intra-departmental and external cooperation Above-average interpersonal and communication skills and a professional telephone manner Good aptitude for mathematics along with analytical ability Strong organizational skills and capacity for attention to detail Must work well under deadlines and high volume pressure Data entry experience and ability to operate standard office machines and learn PC applications necessary to successfully carry out job duties  Typing skill of 35 WPM with 100% accuracy Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time Satisfactory performance and attendance are required Candidates will be required to pass applicable American Airlines pre-hire compliance checks Must have acceptable credit history, which will be verified Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable
