We are seeking a dependable and enthusiastic candidate to fill a position for an apartment community (260 units) located in Columbus, Ohio.  

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-          Answering phones, greeting potential clients and showing model apartments.

-          Fielding general questions regarding rental units and property features.

-          Assisting potential clients in completing rental applications and lease agreements.

-          Miscellaneous clerical duties as required.

 Requirements

The ideal candidate has a positive attitude and professional demeanor. Excellent sales and marketing abilities are necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel 2010) applications is a must, at least a basic skill level, intermediate level preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.  Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in leasing apartments.

Candidates must be able to work on Saturdays.

Our leasing consultants handle all leasing, marketing, sales, customer service, resident retention and administrative responsibilities.


Some LEASING responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

Greet prospective residents and show apartments. Oversee and process applications and lease renewals. Conduct marketing surveys and weekly reports.  Assist in the preparation of newsletters, market surveys and resident activities.  Attend all assigned resident activities. Handle sales, outreach, prospecting and lead generation. Process renewal letters. Maintain a monthly renewal log and ensure proper billing of all accounts. Organize and maintain resident files per company procedure. Monitor service requests. Insure call backs are being completed. Prepare incident reports and follow up in accordance to the direction of the Property Manager. Handle all resident complaints, signing of leases, landlord references, credit approvals, walking apartments for move- ins and target units. Assist new residents during the move-in process – explain lease agreement, community rules, location of amenities, and a walk through of their new home at time of moving in. Work with the maintenance department to handle apartment turnovers, move-ins, work order requests and assists in maintaining the cleanliness of target units and tour routes including grounds and common areas. Handle clerical and reception responsibilities as designated by the Property Manager. Other responsibilities as delegated by the Property and / or Regional Manager.


 

Our Bookkeepers handle all bookkeeping responsibilities as well as other customer service, resident retention and administrative responsibilities.

Some BOOKKEEPING responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Collecting and posting rent payments / other fees Monitor delinquencies to maintain low delinquency rate Monitor and perform Collections on overdue accounts Enter daily notes in system on collections / delinquents Distribution of Late Rent letters Assist with Legal Filings on delinquent accounts. All daily bookkeeping needs at the site as assigned Enter data in system daily Organize and maintain resident files per company procedure. Oversee and process applications and lease renewals. Conduct marketing surveys and weekly reports. Process renewal letters. Maintain a monthly renewal log and ensure proper billing of all accounts. Assist in the preparation market surveys and resident activities. Assist in sales, outreach, prospecting and lead generation when needed. Assist new residents during the move-in process / move-out process Handle clerical and reception responsibilities as designated by the Property Manager. Other responsibilities as delegated by the Property and / or Regional Manager.



 Requirements

Leasing Requirements:

 

2 years experience in leasing, sales and customer service preferred, but will train right person. Residential property management experience is a huge plus.  Excellent customer service skills and the ability to develop a rapport with the residents and community staff. Excellent organization skills. Must be accurate and good attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work well independently and be self motivated. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products Full time hours Monday - Friday, plus some mandatory weekend work as required


Bookkeeping Requirements:

2-4 years general office experience is required 2 yrs bookkeeping / accounting experience required Residential property management experience is a huge plus. sales and customer service experience desired, but will train right person. Previous experience with MRI is a huge plus. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to develop a rapport with the residents and community staff. Requires excellent organizational and strong PC skills. Must be accurate and have great attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to work well independently and be self motivated. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products Full time hours Monday - Friday
