Position:  Reporting Analyst

Location:  Denver, CO

Pay Rate:  $25.00 - $29.00/hr DOE

Schedule:  8am – 5pm

 

 

Description: 

The Reporting Analyst provides reporting and modeling expertise to augment cross-functional decisioning capabilities within the business. Through partnering with senior leadership, the incumbent will drive strategy by providing reports, analyses, and access to data, effectively highlighting opportunity areas, trends, and progress reporting for the business. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to become involved in business processes across all functions. The position will require frequent meetings with report and data requestors including upper and senior management. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to improve current processes in addition to providing accurate and timely reports in a variety of formats. A strong understanding of SQL databases is a must. In addition to analyzing data and trends within the business and creating supporting reports, this position will work with existing developers to improve existing reports and create new reporting models (primarily in SQL Server Reporting Services).

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

Acts as subject matter expert for business process reporting and modeling activities, regularly partnering with senior leadership to collect, analyze, and report on data from all available sources and data flows; Primary owner and go-to person for both ad-hoc and complex report requests. Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts and decomposing high-level information into details that can be readily accessed and utilized by requested users Maintains a comprehensive understanding of the various operational processes, services, challenges, strengths and opportunities as they relate to the broader business Proactively communicates and collaborates with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and deliver end product reporting and modeling that facilitates strategic decisioning Uses data and various analyses to drive and challenge business unit teams surrounding business processes, plan execution, and forecasting activities, proactively identifying opportunity areas that will further enhance overall performance Fully reviews and tests new and existing reports to ensure ongoing accuracy and usefulness Gathers client requirements and providing reporting solutions to regularly analyze progress made toward customer requests, SLA achievement, etc.

 

 

Experience: 

Minimum five (5) years working as Business Reporting Analyst, or similar position, in a complex business environment Minimum two (2) years’ experience performing in a business process modeling capacity preferred Demonstrated expertise utilizing different tools and reporting models to analyze, report, and communicate results Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven track record delivering accurate and timely analyses in a variety of formats (Excel, SSRS, etc.)

 

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
